Noble County Court Docket Searches
Start with Indiana MyCase, the public face of Odyssey. It serves Noble Circuit Court, Noble Superior Court I, and Noble Superior Court II. It answers to a case number, citation number, cross-reference number, party, business, or attorney name. Use a full number when you have one. A name alone can pull matches for several different people. Before trusting a hit as the right Noble County court docket, compare the details. Check the court, case type, file date, and caption. Online search is not the only door. The Noble County Clerk takes questions by phone, email, mail, and at the counter. A public terminal sits in the courthouse basement. Want a transcript? That runs through the assigned court or court reporter. A filed pleading or certified order starts with the clerk.
- Open MyCase and select By Case, By Party, or By Attorney.
- Limit the court to Noble County and the correct division when known.
- Match the result's case type, filing date, court, and case style.
- Read the Chronological Case Summary for settings, orders, and disposition.
- Ask the clerk for a missing image, older public record, or certified copy.
The official county home page provides local courts and fines entry points.

That page routes the public onward; the clerk's file remains the official record.
Noble County MyCase Search Fields
MyCase gives you three search modes. By Case wants one case, citation, or cross-reference number. By Party needs a last name plus another name field or a date range, unless the search uses a business name. By Attorney takes a bar number or a name. Court, category, status, and filing-date filters trim a long list, though a filter set too tight can bury the Noble County docket you want.
| Field | Best use | Key point |
|---|---|---|
| Case Number | Known case | Hyphens and leading zeroes may be optional |
| Citation Number | Traffic matter | Use the number printed on the ticket |
| Party | No number known | Start broad, then add name fields |
| Court | Noble results | Choose 57C01, 57D01, or 57D02 |
| Status and dates | Large result set | Try All before assuming no record exists |
Spelling trouble? A wildcard or Sounds Like search helps. The portal caps results and may show a CAPTCHA after repeated searches, which is an anti-data-mining measure rather than proof that a case is sealed.
Court Dockets: What They Show
Indiana's running docket has a name. It is the Chronological Case Summary, or CCS, and its first block identifies the court, case number, type, file date, status, and caption. Later blocks can list parties, attorneys, service, charges, bonds, hearings, orders, payments, and disposition. That list is not proof of liability or guilt. Read the final entry and the official order instead.
| Case header | Court, number, caption, type, file date, and status. |
|---|---|
| CCS event | Date, event label, description, and a document link when public online. |
| Setting | Hearing or appear-by data that should be confirmed with the court. |
| Party block | Public roles and attorney appearances, where available. |
| Disposition | The procedural outcome for a case or charge when entered. |
A converted event may have come from an older system. When a download is missing, the image is simply not online, and that is not evidence no filing exists.
Noble County Case Number Codes
Administrative Rule 8 turns a Noble County case number into something you can read. Take 57D02-2401-CM-000123. The 57 means Noble County. D02 means Superior Court II, 2401 marks the filing year and month, CM is the misdemeanor type, and the last group counts the sequence. It is a format example, not a real case. Circuit Court uses 57C01 and Superior Court I uses 57D01.
- CCS
- Chronological Case Summary, the event-by-event docket.
- IF
- Infraction, often used for traffic cases.
- SC
- Small claims.
- F1 through F6
- Indiana felony-level case codes.
- EV
- Eviction.
A transfer can change the court identifier. The sequence number stays the same. A 57E01 code, or an old Avilla or Cromwell code, marks a legacy, abolished court rather than a current filing place.
Noble County Courts and Their Dockets
One Noble County Clerk serves all three active trial courts. Each has general jurisdiction, though local assignments split up much of the routine work, and the official court landing page shows the three divisions.

The division identifier ties each MyCase result to its court.
| Court | Docket focus | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Noble Circuit Court, 57C01 | General jurisdiction, civil, family, probate, listed felonies, specialty courts | MyCase, clerk, terminal |
| Noble Superior Court I, 57D01 | Principal felony assignments listed by the county | MyCase, clerk, terminal |
| Noble Superior Court II, 57D02 | Misdemeanors, traffic, ordinances, small claims, CHINS | MyCase, clerk, terminal |
None of the five profiled cities lists a current municipal court. City police and clerk records are their own thing, separate from county court cases.
Noble County Filing Numbers
Indiana's official statistics add local context without exposing a party. The 2024 report counted 7,051 new Noble County filings across all court categories. That is a workload measure. It is not a case lookup. The report separates filings from dispositions. So the count is not a number of trials, judgments, or convictions.
The Indiana Court Online Reports system supplies the county statistics selector.

Use ICOR for workload context. Use MyCase or the clerk to find one case.
Court Dates and Settings in Noble County
A CCS can list a hearing, pretrial, trial, sentencing, return, or appear-by date. The event date is not always the hearing date. Read the label and description together. Administrative Rule 9 calls for daily calendars with the case number, caption, date, time, and location, but Noble County posts no stand-alone daily-calendar portal. Confirm an incomplete setting with the court or clerk. Continuance requests must be written and must notify the other side. A phone call moves nothing. A telephone hearing takes consent, and small claims are generally heard on Tuesdays in Superior Court II, though that pattern is not individual notice. Every confirmation route appears on the Noble County court schedule. Take the full case number when you call. Ask for the next setting's date, time, location, and status.
Noble County Odyssey History
All three Noble trial courts went live in Odyssey on March 1, 2021. That date explains a lot about older Noble County docket results. MyCase may show events converted from another system. Older images may not be online. When an event line appears without its public filing, the basement terminal and the clerk are the fallback. The Indiana Electronic Filing System is the filing channel, governed by Trial Rules 86 and 87. MyCase is just a public viewing layer. Neither replaces the official clerk file. A filing-system outage may affect deadlines under the rules. Public search availability is a separate issue. A converted line belongs to the older case history. It is not a new filing made on the conversion date. Write down its event label and date before asking for a copy. Clerk staff can check whether a public image exists in the official file, whether the basement terminal shows more detail, or whether an archived source must be consulted. A focused request beats asking for every paper in an older Noble County case.
Docket Access Under Indiana Law
Indiana presumes its records are open. That presumption still bends to rules shielding confidential material. Indiana Code 5-14-3 sets the general framework, and Supreme Court rules govern court records in every format, so public access never promises that every page sits online.
Key rules:
Access Rule 4 presumes access unless law or another rule excludes the record.
Access Rule 5 protects listed cases, documents, and personal data.
Access Rule 6 controls requests to exclude an otherwise public record.
Access Rule 9 controls extraordinary requests for excluded records.
The clerk can route a request but cannot waive a seal. Protected content may take a verified filing plus a court order.
Noble County Docket Access Limits
Not every Noble County case shows up in a docket search. Adoption records are closed to ordinary public access. Juvenile, mental-health, paternity, guardianship, and expunged or sealed matters may be limited or missing entirely. The same goes for many domestic-relations and protection-order cases. Protection orders sit in a separate state search instead. Details about a protected person have no place in a routine MyCase result. One more wrinkle exists. Certain case types post public orders online but keep other public documents behind an in-person visit to the clerk.
A blank result is not proof that no Noble County case exists. Recheck spelling and filters, then contact the clerk or use the terminal.
If an event has no image attached, name its exact date and label when you write to the clerk. Ask which access process covers the item. Staff cannot reveal sealed information, so frame the question that way. Before calling, check the public-document matrix. Access shifts with the case code and the type of paper you want. Online access, in-person access, and party access are three different doors. A party or attorney who signs in can view material an anonymous visitor cannot. Still, that account-level view has limits. It never turns a document into something public for every Noble County docket searcher.
How the Clerk Keeps Docket Records
Tammy L. Bremer is Clerk of Noble County Courts. Her elected job covers filed records, judgments, payments, and docket administration across all three courts. Her office handles requests for a public CCS, a pleading, a judgment, or a certified copy. Transcripts are a separate matter. Court reporters keep those. So the spoken record of a hearing is not the same thing as a clerk copy.

101 North Orange Street
Albion, IN 46701
260-636-2736
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
When you order a copy, give the clerk the court, the full case number, the caption, the record name, its date, the format, and whether you need certification. The county charges $3 per certified copy. Confirm mail options, plain-copy prices, and turnaround times with the office, and note that personal checks are not accepted for these services.
Noble County Courthouse Records
Need a Noble County court record in person? Head to the 1889 courthouse at 101 North Orange Street in Albion. The public terminal sits in the basement. County pages post weekday hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., holidays excluded. Confirm current clerk and court details before a visit. Those govern day-to-day access to the Noble County court docket. The building itself is worth a look. Its official courthouse history describes the Romanesque structure and the rotunda portraits inside it.

History draws visitors to the courthouse, yet official copies of any Noble County case record come from the clerk, not the old building itself.
Noble County Specialty Dockets
Noble Circuit Court runs several specialty dockets. These include Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Treatment Court. State program records also list Noble Problem-Solving Court and Family Recovery Court. None has its own public search portal. Hearings and orders stay tied to the underlying case number. Access rules still apply.
Private material is often cut off. Participation details, treatment facts, pretrial assessments, and supervision records may all be excluded. A CCS entry can show an event without any private detail. So search the base case. Then ask the clerk what portions are public rather than hunting for a participant list.
The division code in the case number remains your best routing clue. Request a public case summary or a named public order instead of a roster. That keeps the public court record separate from protected treatment and supervision details. It also stops a program name from being mistaken for a stand-alone Noble County court with its own calendar.
Noble County Federal Docket Boundary
MyCase will not surface a federal case. Noble County sits in the Northern District of Indiana's Fort Wayne Division. Federal dockets live on PACER and CM/ECF. Bankruptcy matters go to the federal bankruptcy court. Appeals land at the Seventh Circuit. Those offices and case numbers are entirely separate from Noble's 57-series trial cases.
For venue confirmation, the Fort Wayne Division page shows Noble County within that division.

Federal cases do not run through the Noble Clerk at all. The district court keeps that docket, and its federal access page lays out how to get into the courthouse itself.

Use those details only for federal matters; state records remain in Albion.
Noble County Federal Record Costs
Money works differently on the federal side. PACER bills by the page, though caps and waivers can kick in, while a terminal inside the federal courthouse costs nothing to use. Printing may still add a fee. Before you pull a long docket report, check the official PACER pricing so the charges don't surprise you.

A basic MyCase lookup stays free, so the federal charge never touches it. The bankruptcy division page confirms that the federal route is separate from anything you'd search locally.

A Noble County bankruptcy docket therefore stays in PACER and the federal clerk's system.
City-by-City Court Dockets in Noble County
The five largest incorporated places in Noble County are Kendallville, Ligonier, Avilla, Albion, and Rome City. A 2020 Census ranking sets that order. None of them runs a municipal court. The current state directory says so. Each city or town keeps its own police, clerk, code, and meeting records. When a ticket or ordinance case gets filed, it usually goes somewhere else. It lands in Noble Superior Court II. The official Census table backs up that order of size.

Population selects these profiles; it does not set court jurisdiction.
Kendallville Court Records
10,271 in 2020. City records remain separate from county cases.
Ligonier Court Records
4,568 in 2020. County cases use MyCase and the Noble Clerk.
Avilla Court Records
2,438 in 2020. The former Avilla court code is abolished.
Albion Court Records
2,222 in 2020. Albion holds the county courthouse.
Rome City Court Records
1,322 in 2020. Town and marshal records have separate custodians.
Noble County Record Checkpoints
Before you lean on any Noble County court docket, check a few details. Confirm the court identifier and the full case number. Then check the current status date and the latest setting. Small errors there send you to the wrong file fast. Does a deadline, certified order, or exact balance matter? Then compare what you saw online against the clerk's official file. That comparison is the one that counts.
Mailing a request? Include a return address. Ask the clerk to confirm the cost and format before any payment goes out. Bring case details, not just a common name. The clerk can pull the right docket on the first try. In-person searching works better that way.
The same checkpoints rescue you when two cases carry similar captions. A court code tells the divisions apart. A case-type code sorts the legal categories. The file date separates matters opened in different years. Together they sharpen your docket search and cut the risk of reading the wrong Noble County record.
