Find Noble County Traffic Court

Start with your citation, then check the docket behind it. A Noble County traffic court case usually lands in the county trial system, and its public events show up on the Chronological Case Summary. That summary can reveal an appearance date, a payment, a trial setting, or a final entry. When a new ticket has not shown up online yet, the statewide case portal, a call to the traffic court, or a quick question to the clerk will move things along. The big decision comes early. Pay by the date on the ticket, or deny the charge and ask for a trial.

Traffic Case Records in Noble County

Noble Superior Court II is the local division identified for traffic infractions and ordinance violations. The elected Noble County Clerk supports that docket and handles the payment and record route for filed cases. A citation issued in Kendallville, Ligonier, Avilla, Albion, or Rome City does not create a separate active city-court docket. Indiana's current court directory does not list an active municipal court for those places. Once filed, the Noble County traffic court case normally carries the county court identifier 57D02.

The court's running record is the Chronological Case Summary, or CCS. It can identify the court, case number, filing and event dates, parties, citation or charge information, settings, orders, payments, and disposition when those fields are public. A police report and citation may exist before the court filing. They remain separate from the Noble County traffic court record.

Noble Superior II Traffic Route

The county's official court material assigns routine traffic work to Superior Court II. The division also handles misdemeanors, ordinance violations, small claims, CHINS, and Family Preservation matters. That broad docket explains why a search should use the court and case-category filters, not merely a common name. The Clerk's traffic instructions identify the courthouse at 101 North Orange Street in Albion and direct ticket questions to Traffic Court at 260-636-2129 or the Clerk at 260-636-2736.

City police and marshal offices can supply their own incident or crash records. They do not certify the CCS. If the question is what the judge set, whether payment posted, or how the case ended, the county court and Clerk are the right custodians.

Noble County Traffic Ticket Lookups

The official instructions say to wait at least ten days before calling or paying. That gap allows the citation to reach the Noble County traffic court system. Keep the complaint or summons close. It supplies the ticket number, appearance date, and often the payment amount. MyCase permits a citation-number search, while the state ticket service can locate eligible citations with identifying fields.

  1. Read the citation and identify its ticket or cause number and appearance date.
  2. After the posting period, search Indiana MyCase by citation number and limit the court to Noble County.
  3. Use the state traffic payment search with a driver-license number, or a name and date of birth, when appropriate.
  4. If no result appears, call Traffic Court or the Clerk, visit the counter, or use the courthouse basement public terminal.
  5. Confirm the amount, response date, court, and current status before acting.

Noble Traffic Search Fields

MyCase supports By Case, By Party, and By Attorney modes. For a Noble County traffic court matter, By Case is usually the cleanest route. It accepts one case number, citation number, or cross-reference number. Party search can use a last name with a first name, middle name, or date-of-birth range. Narrowing the Court selector to Noble County reduces false matches.

A missing online result does not prove that no citation exists. It may not be posted yet, may sit outside public access, or may require Clerk help.

Traffic Court Dates in Noble County

The appearance date is printed near the bottom of the complaint or summons. A person who denies the allegation must call before that date, after which Noble Superior Court II provides a trial date. MyCase can show future settings and CCS events, but Noble County has no separate standalone public daily-calendar portal identified in the research. Confirm a setting with the assigned court because an appear-by date is not always a hearing time.

Paying a Ticket vs Fighting It

The county schedule gives two routes. To admit, pay before the printed court date by an accepted channel. To deny, call before the appearance date so the court can set a trial. The schedule says a fine imposed after a court appearance depends on the facts and may exceed the published schedule. Payment eligibility also varies, so a ticket rejected by the online service must be handled in person or by mail.

Missed Response Date: The Noble schedule warns that failure to comply may lead to license suspension. Contact the court or Clerk promptly for the case-specific next step.

Noble Ticket Payment Channels

The Clerk identifies PayGov for eligible traffic tickets, fines, and court costs. The statewide payment page also searches eligible Odyssey tickets, though some results route to another provider. Card service or convenience fees may apply. For mail, address payment to Noble County Clerk, Attn: Traffic, 101 N Orange St, Albion, IN 46701-1092. Include the ticket or a copy, or place the ticket number on the money order. Personal checks are not accepted.

Two Records: Court File and Driver File

A Noble County traffic court record and an Indiana driver file are different official records. The Noble Clerk maintains the filed case and CCS. The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles maintains driver and license information. A court lookup can show the citation, settings, payment, and disposition; it is not a complete motor-vehicle record. Likewise, a BMV response is not a certified copy of the court's order.

Noble Fine Schedule Details

The July 2023 schedule lists $139.50 in court costs plus the fine. Its speeding bands show fines of $1 for one through ten miles per hour over, $10 for eleven through twenty, $20 for twenty-one through twenty-five, $28 for twenty-five through thirty, and $35.50 for thirty-one or more. Several stop, signal, lane, light, expired plate, and listed license violations show a $10 fine. Seat-belt and child-restraint lines show $25.

Those figures are a published schedule, not a promise of the amount in a contested case. Commercial and truck categories have separate entries. Current status and amount should be confirmed with the Clerk because service fees and case-specific orders can change what is due.

Traffic Record Copy Fees

The Noble Clerk's published general court-record fees include $1 per page for a court-record copy and $3 for certification, plus copy cost. A copy of the Noble County traffic court CCS can be requested at the Clerk's office. State law also permits access through the public terminal, while certified or missing online material should come from the custodian rather than a screenshot.
